When the people of iraq and afghan were not muslims they resisted occupation and fought against it.

As to india being a democracy and secular,it is a big joke they have played on the world,every few years they go on Rampages killing muslims-sikhs-christians and lower caste untouchables.

Rob, while I agree with you and the article there is more than just Muslim terrorism going on in the world, I need to make a comment about your post. Nato in Afghanistan is not fighting Muslims, they are fighting alongside others Muslim against the Taleban who are mainly foreign fighters who have no compunction in killing other Muslims. I understand there are troops from Qatar in Afghanistan. As for Iraq, there are no British troops fighting. There may be some there training Iraqis (Muslims), most of the killing is either Sunni Muslim versus Shia Muslim or Alqada killing everyone else. So please, less knee jerk and more thought when commenting.

A response to 'Gujarati brother' the mosques in England and the Gujarati community did and are still doing a lot for the Muslims of India and Hindus, charities like MWI(Muslim welfare institute, UWT Ummah Welfare Trust have helped a lot of Muslims in India. Also from a political point especially in the North West again MWI have lobbied the British government(Jack Straw who was foreign minister at the time) on taking action against the atrocities that took place. I think organisations like MPACUK need more support from influential groups and Muslim figures to bring these issues into the public eye i.e. National Media and Parliament.

Just a final note the 'Gujarati mosques' particularly in England raised a substansial amount of money for the victims of the riots and have really made a difference and continue to do so. To conclude in reply to the 'Gujarati Brothers' comments the 'Gujarati Mosques' are not a disgrace. The responsibility of helping Muslims is and should be a collective one, therefore all Muslims should help the Muslims in India not just the ‘Gujarati Mosques’.
