Hassan Butt was arrested at Manchester Airport yesterday, where he was reportedly waiting for a flight to Lahore, Pakistan. Manchester-born Butt has spoken widely in the media about his past involvement with terrorist activity, which he says he has now renounced. He has previously claimed he recruited hundreds of fellow Muslims to fight for Osama bin Laden's terror network. In an interview last month, he said: "I started realising it's not as black and white - how could I justify killing these people because these people are living amongst us." A police spokesman said: "Greater Manchester Police's Counter Terrorism Unit arrested one person under the Terrorism Act on the afternoon of Friday May 9." He added: "Officers are currently searching three addresses with warrants under the Terrorism Act. "No armed officers were involved in the arrest."

And the point to this article is????
Am I to assume that because Butt "Claims" to have renounced his former ways, that we must all just blindly believe him???? O.K. then - You know best!!!!

Good; this guy is a liar. I don’t believe some of the claims he’s been making. It’s very likely he works for the secret services so we can stop worrying about him.

It all sounds all too familliar. Anyone remember Arron Barshack? The barmy self-publicist who would do anything to get to the attention of tv camera's. Well i've been thinking this for a long time and i think the british muslim community has found its version.
N.B. Mr barshack stood as an independant in the general election a few years ago.

Go join the Quilliam Foundation - they're good a kissing butt. Everyone in the Quilliam Foundation should be arrested likewise. They're all ex-terrorists. Although one has been tortured in Egypt for his activities he hasn't been tried in British courts. Arrest them all and put them in prison for 90 days without trial.
Put them in a prison where the inmates crave butts.

Seringapattam---1799:

In 1799, the British used a traitor called Mir Sadiq to betray the Tiger of Mysore, Nawab Fateh Ali Khan, aka Tipu Sultan . During the seige, Mir Sadiq breached a hole in the wall of the fortress, mixed water in the gunpowder and sent off his men when they were needed to guard the fort. Tipu Sultan gave his life in the battle and became immortalised forever.
After the battle when Mir Sadiq's job was done and the British had won, the British instead of protecting Mir Sadiq left him at the mercy of the crowds gathered for the Sultan's funeral who lynched the traitor . Mir Sadiq thought his treason to the Sultan and pledge of loyalty to the British would be rewarded by the British. The British, however claimed that Mir Sadiq's end befitted him as a traitor and that they did not feel obligated to reward Mir Sadiq's treason . That is the British attitude towards traitors----all traitors ! Rot in hell, Hassan Butt. Ameen.

These self-appointed Muslim organisations, such as MPAC UK, Hizb Ut Tahrir or even Muslim Council of Britain, represent absolutely nobody. Why do they keep talking about representing the Muslims and Islam, who the hell elected you to represent the Muslim interest?
Khaled Mahmood, MP for Perry Barr, was right to point out that he represents an electorate, whilst you were not elected to represent anyone, except the fringe conspiracy theorist within the Muslim community. If any of you organisations came to out to the countryside, you would be laughed out with your extremist agenda. And recently, there was another attack by "Muslim" youths practicing Islam against a Christian religious leader, which shows that some parts of East London i.e Whitechapel and nearby areas have become no-go areas for non-Muslims.

Ignoramus David, the MCB has a democratically elected central working committee which is chosen from amongst the 500 affiliated Mosques and organisations on a 2 yearly basis. The next AGM is this June, why don't you pop a long as a guest or an observer, instead of having an Islamophobic rant. You won't come in case you find order, representation, structure, planning, accountability and sincerity amongst the attendees...don't worry genuine people are usually vilified the most and always develop exponentially whilst stooges like the recently conspired Quilliam Foundation have a habit of withering away.
