"O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn back from Him while you hear. And be not like those who said, We hear, and they did not obey. Surely the vilest of animals, in Allah's sight, are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand." The Glorious Qur'an, Surah 8 (Surah Al-Anfal), Verses 20 -22
"And Allah sets forth a parable of two men; one of them is dumb, not able to do anything, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good; can he be held equal with him who enjoins what is just, and he (himself) is on the right path?" The Glorious Qur'an, Surah 16 (Surah Aln-Nahl), Verse 76
"Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight" The Glorious Qur'an, Surah 47 (Surah Muhammad), Verse 23
I read these verses and all I see is a description of us Muslims and our great mosque leaders. Blind: The injustices are clear to see, yet we pretend they never happen. Everyday more and more innocent people are slain, yet tears refuse to fall from our eyes. It won't be long before another sister gets attacked again, yet still we do nothing - but then again, what else is to be expected of someone who cannot see the injustices around him? Deaf: The cries of the children are so clear, yet we refuse to even acknowledge them. We plead with our mosque leaders to do something, anything to tackle the issues that plague our heart, yet still nothing comes of it. Dumb: We can't even speak out anymore against falsehood, and if somebody does speak out, we call them the heretics. I consider it more of a heresy to remain quiet during the times when we should be speaking the truth. Our mosque leaders are quiet over every issue that faces us Muslims, and we allow them to get away with it. The list can go on and on, and until we take the steps that are needed to tackle the injustices around us, Allah will forever keep us in the dress of disgrace and the clothes of distress. The time to wake up from our slumber is now, for if we don't, we will always remain deaf, dumb and blind.

The thing that puzzles me most is that we muslims seem more intent on showing everyone that we are better muslims than the next Muslim or the next group our number 1 priority in life than actually doing good for others.
Nothing wrong with forming ourselves into little cliques and groups and giving our groups names to make us distinctive from the next muslim group until we start denoucing all other muslim groups as being inferior muslims and not following the true path and yet even in doing this we are acting against Islam as surely the holy quran instructs us to be not divided.

Brilliant article - what a surprise the 'pacified practicing pompous bafoons' are not here complaining that mosques are great and that it is un-islamic to quote the Quran to repremand the mosque leaders!

In the Glorious Qur'an, Almighty Allah Ta'ala speaks of a people who
are detested by both Him and by those who are true believers. He speaks
of a people who wander this Earth defying Allah's Message at each and
every turn and turn others away from it too. These people are destined
for punishment in this world, in the grave and in the Hereafter.
Everything they do is in vain, from their intentions to their deeds -
everything is a lie, and the Curse of Allah is justified on them.
