4 things Israel will get away with if you don't attend our event - Saturday 29th March Print E-mail
Tuesday, 25 March 2008
palestinian_victims.jpg 4 things Israel will get away with if you don't attend our event:

1. The BLOCKADE of supplies into Gaza will continue

The Gaza Strip has been all but cut off from the outside world since June 2007. There is no freedom of movement for either goods or people entering or leaving the territory. The blockade of fuel and electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip continues.

Humanitarian agencies say the blockade amounts to “collective punishment” - banned by international law - and this has aggravated poverty, with 80 percent of people now dependent on food aid.

The sea and land borders of Gaza are controlled by Israel. Gaza: a concentration camp in all but name.

2. More than 130 Palestinians MURDERED in the last few weeks

At the last count, 132 Palestinians were slaughtered in Israeli attacks, including several dozen children, just in the last few weeks.

3. New ILLEGAL Settlement Plans will take place

Israel plans to build hundreds of new housing units in the occupied West Bank.

On March 9, Israel announced plans to expand the settlement of Givat Zeev between Ramallah and Jerusalem by as many as 750 new housing units.

On March 11, Israel unveiled plans for a new settlement in occupied East Jerusalem, triggering a chorus of world criticism and warnings it could hamper efforts to restart faltering peace talks. The project is for 400 housing units in the Neve Yaacov neighborhood.

The expansion of Israeli settlements, which is contrary to international law and UN resolutions, undermines the opportunities for achieving a just peace. Israel occupied and annexed East Jerusalem following the 1967 Arab-Israeli war and declared it its “eternal, undivided” capital, a claim not recognised by the international community.

4. The Palestinians are now being threatened with a SHOAH, the Hebrew word for the Holocaust

In a shocking perversion of a historical legacy, the word was used by an Israeli defence minister to describe the punishment that would be meted out to the people of Gaza — who are there because they were driven there in 1948.

- The Muslims sleep, deaf to the Palestinians’ plea. A mother weeps, as Gaza bleeds

Do not be responsible for Israel's actions. ACT NOW.

The Prophet (SAW) said: If one of you sees something evil, he should change it with his hand. If he cannot, he should speak out against it, and if he cannot do even that he should at least detest it in his heart, this being the weakest form of faith (Sahih Muslim).

Have you ever thought that the reason there's a blockade is because the arabs have been bombarding Israel?

They hit and then they complain that they get hit back. It's just so unfair!

Of these 4 allegations only one stands up to scrutiny - that being the one of the settlements.
Israel as a nation state is not required to have open borders with Gaza, and BTW it doesn't control all the borders with Gaza - the Egyptians also choose to keep their border with Gaza shut.
Of the 132 person killed in Gaza the majority are persons associated with armed formations that participate in & support military action against Israel. A defacto war exists between the Hamas led Palestine in Gaza and the state of Israel.
As for the Israelis threatening Shoah / Holocaust this is disingenuous to say the least. The minister concerned in fact said that the Palestinians through their actions and policies would bring about a catastrophe upon themselves. Shoah means catastrophe whereas HaShoah means the "The Catastrophe" (i.e. The Holocaust) - as Semites I would have thought that MPACUK would have comprehended this fundamental semitic grammatical nuance.
The tone of this article is designed specifically to engender anger and violence rather than a reasoned debate. This surely is in direct contract to MPACUK's professed objective of peaceful Jihad. It is also intended to polarise the situation further and to delay the creation of a Palestinian state.

Well, one thing Izrael has done is to give MUSLIM refugees from Dafur sanctuary in Izrael. (I would post the URL but I am blocked from doing so on here) Whereas Egypt refuses to give these people (driven out of their homelands by other muslims) sanctuary!

You muslims are so reluctant to mention all this sort of thing. And the fact that the Palestinians are still living in refugee camps 60 years later due to the fact that arab countries that house them refuse to give them full citizenship.

See how all the Zionists supporters are trying to divert the topic.

Israel is a terrorist nation illegally occupying another peoples land and torturing and killing babies.

These Zionists would like to defend the baby killers by putting forward childish arguments.

For all you GIYUS (Giving Israel Your Undying Support) I ask one thing.

Do you support the extra judicial murder of women children and men by the IDF?

If so you sicken me.

If not why have you never condemned them?

Condemn the Baby Killers! Condemn Israeli agression.

Free Gaza free the palestinians!

Supporters of Israel regularly enter into discussion on this website. They talk about the rights of Jews to a state, the specifics of who started what and when etc. etc.

But in addition to this, it is valid occasionally to ask 'Why do a hundred Palestinian deaths worry you so much more than two hundred thousand Darfuri deaths' or 'Why are pictures of dead children on this site always and only shown in the context of Palestine, when so many more children have died in Kurdistan or Somalia at the hands of other Muslims?'

It is perfectly legitimate to ask these questions. But when they are asked, all we ever get back is people like AA jumping up and down and saying 'diversion, diversion, diversion'.

We can all debate Israel / Palestine until the cows come home, and we do. But how about answering the simple question, occasionally posed but never answered, as to why the Muslim-on-Muslim bloodshed, on so much greater a scale, is completely ignored by MPAC, AA et al?

"Islam is terrorism." Says the guy who's never studied Islam.
For future reference, if you haven't got anything decent to say: then DON'T say it.
Anyway, I thought this discussion was about how Israel is mistreating the Palestinians by killing young children, not about people's ludicrous views on Islam.

how come anyone with opposing views is branded a zionist..i look at the situation as a human not a muslim or a zionist(truth be told i couldnt care less if hamas and the IDF killed each other)..yeah israel over react..but i think both sides are scum who target civilians.why dont hamas launch rockets in places which are not inhabited by civilians?..its all a PR game.hamas/IDF they are all baby killers the IDF has better weapons though.they are all terrorists, the losers are the PALS an israeli citizens

Paul M: Quote

In any confilct there are casualties. When Palestinians blow themselves up in pizza parlours or aim rockets indiscriminately, they make no bones that their intention is to kill as many Israeli civilians as possible.

By contrast, it is clearly in Israel's interest to minimise the casualties on the Palestinian side, not necessarily for any moral reason but because it is such bad publicity. (The Palestinians do not consider their avowed intent to kill civilians to be bad publicity, by contrast).

For this reason casualties in the Arab Israel conflict have been very low compared with those in Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan under the Taliban or Iraq under Saddam.

Now we have that out of the way, would 'Anon', AA or MPAC tell me why the 90% of Muslim deaths in conflicts, caused by other Muslims, are of so little interest to them, but the 0.2% which result from the Arab Israeli conflict excite them into fits and displays of bleeding civilians?

RSD: Quote

There is a desperate need for a reasoned and rational debate about the Palestinians and the future Palestine. Currently the focus is exclusively upon today's, and yesterday's, woes.
When the occupation does end (& it will) the Palestinians will face the problems of creating and maintaining a nation state sandwiched between Israel and Jordan / Egypt, none of which trust the Palestinians. There is a very real danger that the Palestinians win the struggle for territory only to lose the peace.

Paul and co.

You lose any moral argument when you fully support and try to justify the BABY KIILERS (IOF).

Israeli terrorist try to justify their crimes. They occupy another country and murder the civilians and annex land and de-humanise the Palestinians and try to pretend to the world that they are a civilised democratic nation.

They are nothing more than barbaric savage murderers.

You 'Zionist Ideology' following fanatics fool nobody.
