ACTION ALERT – Mobilise your mosque! Print E-mail
Saturday, 22 March 2008

actionalert.jpgThe London Mayoral Election is almost upon us yet over 60,000 Muslims in the capital still aren’t registered to vote and risk missing out on having their say on who runs City Hall for the next 4 years.

The election is a close call between the incumbent Ken Livingstone and his Tory rival Boris Johnson. It’s important that Muslims vote to keep Boris Johnson out - a man who said that “Islam is the problem” following the July 7th bombings in London in 2005.

Did you know that the voter registration deadline is 16th April? That’s less than 1 month away and the clock is ticking!

Activate our Mosques – get them to inform the congregation of the importance of voting in this crucial election, coming up on May 1st. Below is a list of Mosques in London, each of which could inform thousands of Muslims.

Please call them and get them to take action now!

Ken is amongst a handful of ''Old'' Labour people who have stood up for those being savaged by society. Clare Short and Dennis Skinner also come to mind.

I have seen Ken regularly commuting to work over the years on the Tube, sitting and working on the train with the rest of us, whilst other politicians only appear on the Tube at election time.

The man has a human, social and environmental conscience.

He is also experienced in running London.
Boris' experience is running to the Commons bar and getting sozzled and calling black people Picaninnies. Typical Tory racist.

We now have to stand up for Ken as he has stood up for us.

Tell the mosques to spread the message, as time is short. We owe him.

Go out and Vote Ken.

Boris Johnson is an Islamophobe. He is incapable of running a bath let alone London. He is a Zionist (surprise) and a racist (surprise). The Conservative party should be ashamed of themselves by putting forward a pathetic, incapable racist as a candidate.

He also plotted to have a journalist beaten up with a friend of his. His friend, Darius Guppy. Read below.

"Shortly after the robbery in NYC, but before his arrest, Guppy was recorded telephoning Boris Johnson and asking him for the address of News of the World journalist Stuart Collier who had reported on Earl Spencer's private life. Guppy had wished to retaliate by assaulting the reporter. On the tape, Johnson agreed to help after being reassured that the reporter would not be seriously injured. The tape transcript was serialised in The Guardian's diary column, which thereafter took to referring to Johnson as The Jackal."

It doesn't help our cause to say that all who attend all the mosques have to vote for just one candidate. This just entrenches more divisions between Muslim and non-Muslim Britons.

I for one will be voting for Boris as I think Ken is focussed just on the money he can get and use through the job as mayor.

If these mosques were active telling their congregations to vote intelligently on May 1st that would have a huge impact!

I'm definitely going to be contacting my local mosque about this as well as phoning the big mosques listed here - will be emailing MPACUK with the response insh'Allah...

Very interesting comments on Darius Guppy/ Boris Johnson.
Given that anyone can edit Wikipedia,
any facts should be established with other reliable sources before publication in MPAC.

I suggest you do so and then, with MPAC, pass the facts to the media and to Ken's office.

Ken has been an awful mayor. He is in it for himself and a small section of people who he regards as comrades. That's only a small number of muslims. If we should be stopping anyone it should be Ken

Most American Muslims voted for bush in 2000, but turned against them after 9/11! Be careful of Ken he will tell you what you want to hear. He is also an alcoholic! My vote is for Paddick.

ARghh! TK & Abs36 - either you're Zionists or you really really don't understand politics : (

The choice is Ken or Boris - they are the only 2 candidates with a chance of becoming Mayor. Boris is a racist Islamophobic Zionist. Ken has supported Muslims consistently at considerable political cost (on what planet can you seriously compare Ken Livingstone to George Bush????!)

The choice is simple - VOTE KEN! (or face the consequences of an Islamophobe like Boris in power over London's Muslims)
