Great work MPAC. We need to expose and weed out the xenophobes and racists and make sure they don't get into any position of power.
I'm not from London but I have friends there and I will be urging them to vote so that they don't have to suffer under Boris the bar steward.

Go Ken!!!
Everyone should vote for Ken. He has principles. He cares for all Londoners. Boris comes across as obnoxious, arrogant and racist.

I'm forwarding this video to everyone I know in London - it's so important we get people to vote out to vote for Ken, and stop Boris, the potential night-mayor!

Ken is a thoroughly decent man who has stood up for those who were at the but end of racist speeches by the old Tory Party. The heart of this Tory party still beats on, as is evidenced by Boris's remarks about black people.
Boris is the joker in the Toffs Old Boys Club, the one who makes them laugh, so they look after him. A job here a job there. But this man is a professional joker and certainly no experienced manager for a complex and multicultural city which is London. Ken has stood up for us in the past, taking the verbal abuse from the Tories which was meant for us . Ken has a conscience. Its now time we stood up for him in his time of need.

Ring up and ask what YOU can do for Ken's campaign.
We owe it to him.

I don t share the different opinions I read today on this blog and I absolutely don t understand why all these bad words are said about Boris Johnson.
I met Boris Johnson. What I can say is that he has a very strong sense of humor, which many people just not easily understand. It s just that! I don t really know if Ken is an experienced and skilled manager when I see all this perfume of schandal around Ken's aid Lee Jasper, all that taxpayers money chanelled to associations run by friends of friends who only have fake projects to spend our money. I also don t think that Ken is a so skilled manager to tackle huge crime level when teenagers are stabbed to death quite every day in London. So I think we for once could try Boris Johnson. Indeed, Boris is a Tory but it s far from being a crime !! Maybe it s even an advantage after 8 years of Labour management of Greater London. So Boris, go for the victory !!!

No person from an ethnic minority should even think of voting other than for Ken (and I've forgiven him for mucking-in with Tony Blair -- but his saving grace was that he was totally against the Iraq invasion).
If you have doubts about Ken, just re-read/listen to his speech before London was awarded the Olympics. No other politician could have given such a moving, eloquent and visionary speech. He united every Londoner of every hue with his phrase: 'the world, long ago made London its home'. Boris seems to attract all the weasel-eyed racists. He is not a Londoner. He has not promised to give up his Henley seat. He never answers a straight question. His Eton background disqualifies him from speaking up for sink-estates. Remember the 2nd preference voting system being used for the Mayoral elections. Be sure to vote Ken (1st choice) and Sian Berry (Green Party),(2nd choice)-- she has asked all her supporters to cast their 2nd preference for Ken. If you vote for Paddick, mark Ken as 2nd preference too. By the way if you have ANY doubts about Ken just go and see what Trafalgar Sq now looks like compared to what it used to be. Ken did that, against bitter opposition from cohorts of Tories. In my view that alone gets him the vote. A vote for Boris is a vote for the Boorish!

The trouble with Ken & his entourage is that it looks like that while they cruised around the various ethnic minorities seeking their votes that once in power they shared out the money amongst their cronies. Have any of the Muslim groups had special attention and favours from Ken's Ethnic Minority office? No is the resounding answer! We all want equality and fair treatment and expect no more. We certainly dont expect Ken's appointees to be handing out cash and favours, and appearing to take kick-backs, to their favourite groups which by coincidence happen to be their own ethnic groups.
BTW has anyone heard whether the Indian man sacked by Ken's crew for challenging corruption has had a fair hearing yet?

Livingstone is an sneering alcoholic whose interest in minorites extends as far as harvesting their votes and no further. Gays, Muslims,Sinn Fein, blacks, he'll suck up to anyone if he thinks it might extend his hold on power for a few more years. Now that the institutionalised corruption at City hall is slowly being exposed, the voters are waking up to the truth. I'll vote for Johnson and Paddick just to help get rid of Livingstone.

Muslims and other minorities should only only vote for Ken and not Boris. Boris is a racist, nazi, fascist and he openly said that africa should be controlled by britain under the colonial laws of the past century. A man who glorifies colonial genocide is a racist and should not get our votes. I dont know what the africans think because i dont have african friends. But I believe that the africans would also vote for Ken and not for Boris. Those asians, arabs and blacks voting for Boris would regret in the future. Finally, can somebody answer this question : What about the chinese ? Which side are they on ?

Zeena, why should MPAC readers vote Sian Berry instead of Lindsey German? Who has been vocal and active in the anti-war movement, setting up Stop the War Coalition and speaking out about Islamophobia? Who speaks out consistently about Israel and supports a boycott? Sian Berry or Lindsey German?
The Greens are not exactly renowned for being outspoken about the new foul racism directed against Muslims. The Green party GLA representative (Jenny Jones) even voted to support police head Sir Ian Blair in the Jean Charles case! (even the Tories did not stoop so low) And I remember the Green party's Darren Johnson speaking at the Lebanon demo in 2006 and blaming Hezbollah and Israel equally - how very 'balanced' (ie how very dishonest). And Lindsey German asked for her second vote to go to Ken a long time ago - the Greens did this only last week.

It looks like these comments have been taken over by fans of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
No self respecting Muslim should EVER vote Labour EVER again. Ken Livingstone is an ATHEIST who has awarded big contracts to Israeli firms such as Verint. Boris Johnson o the other hand is Turkish and of a Muslim background who has demanded a full public inquiry into the Iraq war. Ken is a truly evil and crooked man. Have you all forgotten Jean CXharles de Menezes shot by Israeli made 'dum dum' bullets?

'Muslims and other minorities should only only vote for Ken'
Ken is Labour Labour traditionally means, peace, equality of employment, promotion of civil liberties and duties. Now Labour means Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria - and yes - no 7/7 enquiry. I doubt it was Mossad/CIA/MI5 - but need to know how guys I could have prayed with at Uni became this way (and I did not?) I cannot support Labour anda m disppointed Ken did - and most likely most of the Muslim Community. Boris, I see as an Etonian joker, not a Mayor. I went for Green + Liberals - well why not.
