To any non-Muslim reader of the Koran, Islamophobia — fear of Islam — seems a natural reaction, and, indeed, exactly what that text is intended to provoke. Judged purely on its scripture — to say nothing of what is preached in the mosques — it is the most viciously sectarian of all religions. Pleasedonatewhatever you can, may Allah reward you

Why don't I find his comments suprising? It's maybe because Islam is the problem?. For Brits the answer to the problem is simple. It's called Biblical Christianity.

The guy is reminiscent of the old Tory party, full of good time boys, which continually made bullying verbal attacks at immigrants, except now we as Muslims are at the receiving end.
Vote Boris and London itself will resemble the aftermath of a visit by his old club, the Bullingdon Club, a wealthy members club known for its highly destructive booze-fuelled binges. Boris showed his true patriotism towards this fine Country by destroying Britain’s property. And all for a good time for himself. This man is clearly not capable of controlling a club let alone a major city And that sums up Boris’ ’I’m all right Jack’ attitude – have a good time and attack other people and their property.

Boris Johnson is the reason I stopped buying the Spectator. This is only the latest example of his inept ability as editor. There are many other similar cases of ill-informed opinion being published. For me, the last straw was the idiotic and racist cover story 'Are the Yanks Yellow.'
To echo K. Urban's point; this man is clearly not capable of running a weekly magazine, let alone a major city.

A year 7/7, Ken livingstone made a public statement to say he was happy that the son of Abu Hamza was working on London Underground. It was only after outraged Londeners demanded that this man, who had served years overseas for terrorist offences, that Livingstone agreed that he should not be working on the London Underground. As far as I know, he did not call for both the son and the father to be deported.
Some safe hand on London's tiller!!

clifford ishii your one liners are getting boring now,we want you to embrace biblical christianity.
BTW the blog is about the mayoral contest on the 1st of may 2008. from what i know muslims have not told christians to drink-fornicate-eat pig-committ rapes-murders-paedophillia and create a anti-social society. as a avid historian i have realised that british society always needs a scapegoat be it blacks-asians-muslims-jews the irish and all others for them to have any meaning in their lives. that is truly a sign of inner insecurities.

Isn't Boris now saying that he is 'proud of his Muslim ancestry'? Funny, anyone would think there was an election coming up Boris! What a hyprocrite he is.
Clifford Ishii, I'm a Brit who isn't duped into thinking 'Islam is the problem' and I am NOT a Christian either. And incidentally, Muslims are 'Brits' too. Go spread your hatred somewhere else.

I dare any of MPACs readers to go the archive of the Spectator and read Jonston's 7/7 article rather than the cut and paste version of it that you published here. You make Johnston sound an even more incoherent than many of your usual contributers.

This is typical nonsense. This is just people doing Ken's dirty work for him. Read all the stuff that Boris writes (i have to as i'm a lecturer) and I can assure you he has never made the points you raise in the ways you raise them. This is a clear case of MPAC twisting the truth. I may have to stop logging onto this site soon if it carries on printing this kind of drivel. I'm unclear who i'm going to vote for on May 1st but i'm open to Mr Johnson running London as he can't do a worse job than the current man.

Boris, the same man who called blacks "piccaninnies" and then such is his arrogance that rather than apologise he called it a "put up job". He is a disgrace and i'm pretty confident he won't be winning. Londoners are sane people, people with real issues and they will not be voting for this joke or the fools that make up his advisors.

Having seen boris johnson in action on a field, i dare say he does give much hope.
in a friendly charity football match he rugby tackled the guy with the ball to the ground. either he was jingoistic in his behaviour or he totally forgot the rules of the game.

I think this is just another example as if it was needed to show that the mass media is 'grooming' the public, creating 'public opinion' with several low level but constant 'stories' about Islam or Muslims. They are generally linked negatively, I am sure if you did studies about what the 'general public' associate the words Islam and Muslims with, you would get a clear picture...you do not even need me to mention it.
There is a crisis coming, and people are being prepared, to blame scapegoats.

Boris Johnson is one of the most disgusting racist in British politicians in Britain, and that shouldnt surprise anyone, he is after all a Tory.
Politicians like him and infact the Tory party belong to the dustbin of the past, where racist politics should be. London is one of the greatest assets of the UK inparticular its multiculturalism, Boris the racist will put a sledge hammer to it. Give that he is of Turkish descent it proves that he is hypocritical racist. EVERYONE, AND I MEAN EVERYONE SHOULD GET OUT AND VOTE FOR KEN. KEN LIVINGSTONE IS GENIUS AND HAS DONE MORE FOR THE UK THAN TONY BLAIR EVER DID. PLEASE EVERYONE VOTE FOR KEN! SEND EMAILS TO EVERYONE IN LONDON VOTE KEN EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!! GET OUT AND VOTE!!!! VOTE FOR KEN!!!

Not being a London resident, I don’t have a vote, but I am nauseated by the kind of capital city for my country that the likes of Livingstone is busily creating. Johnson - and thank goodness for his non-PC language - says that Islamism as represented by Qaradawi is a mortal threat to our way of life: Livingstone however sees Johnson as the threat and goes out of his way to shower welcomes on Qaradawi who will “always be welcome” to stand on the Mayor’s platform, a promise I’m sure that no other candidate in the coming election would ever think of making.
At the time of 7/7, Livingstone said that he expressed the fervent hope the numbers of people making their way to London by sea or air would in no way be deterred. We are told that today at least fifty percent of births in London are to foreign-born mothers. What final percent is Livingstone’s ambition? Let me put it in a way that Barbarossa and other contributors to this thread may find easier to understand: how would you feel if 50 per cent of births in Gaza were to Zionist-born mothers and then your leaders gave a hero’s welcome to an alien Zionist nutjob [thanks for the word, Barbarossa!] who supports blowing up Muslims on buses? Having said that, as we look at the pros and cons of this mayoral election and the consequences, perhaps it would be easier for the English to stop thinking of London as the capital they used to know and think of it instead as “a corner of England that is forever some foreign field”

Boris claims he descended from the Turks.
This is an example of the sort of fast one this guy will pull on us if he is voted in. Boris is the sort of joker that the Tory Party love to have. A racist, could-not-careless guy. A replacement for Alan Clark. Fun for the Tories. But I would not have him running the billion pound budgets of London. The Tories could not care less. After all, it’s not their money. Contrast this with Ken who I have seen regularly for over a decade taking the Tube into work, working away on London matters whilst travelling WITH the rest of us. Whilst other politicians are only seen on the Tube at election time. When the old Tory Party were making non-stop racist speeches, it was Ken who stood up and took the flack for immigrants, the bullied, as he is standing up for us Muslims now. The man is a thorough gentleman with a conscience. Vote him back.

This is a weird article. Anyone who has read previous posts by me know that I try to be objective. However, support by MPAC of Ken Livingstone smacks of race and colour politics. I do find Boris Johnson misquoted very often and he has been here. A shame. Ken is corrupt (Lee Jasper) and a drunk (whiskey at 10am in the office). London should have a change and either Boris or Paddick would be a better choice. MPAC, try to be more even-handed in the future.

Remember the tabloids in the 1930's were blaming actual Jews!! They were using the word Judaism, yet when it comes to the protectors of the ROOTS of Christianity, the Muslims it is "Islamist". See the connection. Colin is a open hate spreader who does not like a politician who is BRITAIN first unlike the vast majority of the MP's in ParliamRENT who have no loyalty to the UK. Yes the threat has been going on for just over 100 years, our way of life has been hijaked by a racist fifth column who pass OUR secrets to israel, join a genocidal foriegn army that especially loves to slaughter actual civilians. If you take a look at the BNP's site there are israeli supporters just like Barnes in Barking. Remember Copeland the israeli who commited mass murder as an active supporter of the BNP!! The false flag attacks like 7/7 fool no one except the it worries the ones who are behind it. Ban all israelis as they are the root cause of the UK & the worlds problems, simply boot out the fifth column. As colin said "We are told that today at least fifty percent of births in London are to foreign-born mothers." Yes the Apartheid boers and their twins the isrealis who get FREE NHS care have these figures. So where does Colin get his "facts" from??

I suggest you apply some grey matter to 7/7 quoting. 7/7 & 9/11 have so many similarities and it is nothing to do with Muslims -ONE important coincidence is both were carried out on days the respective state (terrorist) were holding mock attacks? The Muslims are easy pick by states by the numerous spying techniques – they know when Muslims are travelling and bombs planted before hence IMPLOSION instead of EXPLOSION. FALSE FLAGS have always helped brit genocide carry out their evil ideologies compare 7/7 to British Genocide globally Britain killed ----- 83-90 million Hitler killed only only only ----- 6 million Britain killed 10 million people in 10 years in India, 1857-1859 Britain's brutal & barbaric genocide in Burma Britain's Terrorism in Iraq ( with two pictures ) The genocide in Africa & Rape of Masai women……. As for Boris: He is a thug, a common criminal and scum: looter of Iraki historical item Boris Johnson candidate for London Mayor Cigar case pilfered from Iraq returns to haunt Johnson "I spotted something on the floor," he wrote. "It was a fine red leather cigar case, capable of holding three Winston Churchills. It was located in the front hall of the villa of Tariq Aziz, a known lover of cigars. And therefore, unless I missed my guess, it was the cigar case of Tariq Aziz. Instinctively, I reached down to snatch it up. Who is the bigger criminal then ?? -------------------------------- @Katherine Isn’t education giving students both sides of the story? A thief as a Mayor of London is fitting when one considers the British terrorism & genocide in Irak and the lies spun for the atrocities.

Boris Johnson says it is time to reassert British values in the face of extremist Islam, read the caption on the cover story of The Spectator Magazine, on the 16th July 2005.
