The Idiot’s Guide: What NOT To Do For Palestine – by MPACUK Print E-mail
Thursday, 06 March 2008
complete_idiots_guide_palestine_s.gif To date, the Muslim Public has been taught by various Islamic groups to do a variety of actions to help the Palestinians. Unfortunately, these actions are at best simply not effective and at worst harmful. Here is a list of measures some of our well-known Muslim leaders have asked us to take.

PROTEST MARCHES – 3/10 FOR EFFECTIVENESS

Marching is the action of the powerless and makes no real impact on the Government at all unless the numbers are vast. No Palestinian march has ever reached those numbers due to the Mosques not playing their part and mobilising the community.

Without the mosques changing, the only effect marching has is showing solidarity with the Palestinians but effecting no change to their situation. We can see some good in that it may aid to wake some pacified souls into action, and perhaps boost the moral of the various disparate pro-Palestinian mujahids around the country as they meet.

But it remains a very poor tool if one wants to effect change for Palestine. Marches should only be used as a tool to wake the Ummah up – apart from that they are pointless. If you have the time to march, you have the time to march down to your local MP and local Journalist and demand they take action against Israel. Same walk, same time, but a thousand times more effective.

BOYCOTT – 4/10 FOR EFFECTIVENESS

Boycotts are only powerful in two ways. Firstly, if you are a vocal boycotter and not a silent passive one, in that you highlight the often ill-informed Muslim or non Muslim community that there is something ‘wrong’ about Israel, by making a 'noise' about it, the public will then be jolted into thinking about israel - simple reaction would be there must be something wrong else why would you feel strongly enough to boycott their products? In short, you wake and educate people to the cause by making Israeli products an issue.

Mosques and student Islamic Societies have done a poor job of teaching the average Muslim about Palestine compared to the Zionists who even send their children out every year to learn about Israel. So it’s an educator. Do not think you are harming Israel directly – you are not, but you are waking people up to it.

Secondly, a Boycott must be limited and targeted. Zionist groups often try to lump in American products into the boycott, so any American company that trades with Israel is added to the list, making the list so large everyone gives up. Don’t fall for the trick. Stick to Israeli-made products only (the dates we eat at Ramadhan for example come mostly from Israel).

Make a big issue about it and only then if you have convinced Muslims to abandon them, move to very strong supporters of Israel. Make the list too wide and you have already lost the Muslim masses and thus failed in the whole point of a boycott which is to make an issue around it. Don’t make yourself feel better in your own silent boycott that only you are aware of.

CHARITY: 2/10 FOR EFFECTIVENESS

Charity seems like an obvious good. But if you are to use their head and not their heart, it is in fact the worst way you can spend your money to help a Palestinian. Billions of pounds over the years have gone in charity to the Palestinians. Look at their situation – it is worse then ever. They have less land then they ever have had, they are more oppressed then they ever have been, they are more tortured and raped and killed then tany time in their history. And all this with millions of pounds every year flooding in from Muslims and Governments all over the world.

If charity was going to help, it would have done so already. We can understand that when you are shot you may want a bandage. We also understand that if you want to give money to Palestine, better to give it to ensure the Palestinian does not get shot in the first place.

There is only one reason and one reason only why Israel is winning. Western Zionist Leaders teach their community to spend politically whilst our Muslim Leaders still tell us to send our money abroad. Once again ignorant leaders proving they cant think straight. If you wanted to spend money give it to a group that is working on the ‘root cause’ of the problem, not just trying to fix it once it’s done.

There are many ways to spend your money that is a thousand times better then giving charity to a Palestinian charity – from sending an MP or journalist over to see what the Palestinians are living like, to paying for a campaign to remove an MP if they are pro-Israel, to funding lobby groups that educate both the MP to demand more for the Palestinians and educate the Muslim public about the power of politics. If anyone does not believe us, all you have to do is ask the Israel lobby how it gets 12 billion dollars in aid from America and the UK Government to back it?

The video link is here for you to see : http://www.mpacuk.org/content/view/3562/34/ They didn’t get that by sending all their money to Israel – they spend it right here in our own country - politically.

The first point for immediate relief charity is a neccesity.

In the long term, Muslims have to ask themselves why Israel has become part of the establishment in the US and UK when 60 years ago, Jews were despised.

300 Years ago, Americas main diplomatic partner was Morocco, and the Uk's was Turkey. Now muslims are the pariah nations, and so are the wests muslim citizens.

The Key to palestine is to reverse this.

1)On a grass roots level, have very clear arguments on Israel, about its UN violations, its genocidal acts (documented), its religious reality (neutra karta) that prohibits israel being a state, and its history - hint books 'zionism the real enemy of jews' and 'the jewish lobby'

2)Share this information in a central place so that others can use it. And then use it in forums, letters to newspapers, talk shows etc

3)Pick any institue or organisation where zionists have disproportional influence, such as the european football(why are they part of europe), governmental advisory bodies, the body that decides who britain supplies arms to, the media.

Once you have picked one area. Find out everything about how it really works, who makes the decisions, how those decisions are influenced, etc.

Then make this your target to change it and highlight it, by getting friends involved , starting a small lobby group, etc.

For example if you want to look at media, read chomskys manufacturing consent. Look at the real influencers such as governmental licencing, advertising, share holders, cheap news stories that do not run the risk of being sued.

Contact UEFA and find out how israel was elected as part of UEFA when they are no where near Europe. Find out who can expel Israel from the members and work out a campaign to make this happen.

If everyone who reads this works on one particular area and creates an organisation (group of people) to change that area, this will be enpowerement

1- campaign against the Hamas thugs collectively punishing its own people;2-stop Hamas forcing closure of crossing points by attacking them;3-stop firing thousands of rockets at Israel;4-stop supporting the eradication of Israel;5-stop spreading lies about Israel and Jews;6-honour the countless UN resolutions condemning Arab terrorism; --- saladin-you yearn for the days when you consider Jews were "despised"-think we know where you're coming from and Neutra Karta has a few thousand members who want to re-establish Israel fanatically when they consider the Messiah has come.

for every israeli that gets killed anywhere between 50 and 150 pals. get killed..now wouldnt hamas be better stoppin all the stuff they say about never recognising israel and trying to sort it out..i think they revel in the deaths of their citizens as it makes them feel morally superior..as i have said before i dont care if both sides wipe each other out,,i mean the israeli and hamas cowards NOT innocent civvy's..hamas cant beat israel militarily,,but they are satisfied to let their people suffer instead of taking the moral high ground and calling a ceasefire,,maybe then when israel are launching unprovoked attacks will the world notice..all i see is a war and the only losers are palestinian&israeli civilians,,peace in that region seems to be in neither hamas's or israels interests..we have to be honest here is hamas as much of a threat as israel to peace..they could learn a thing or ten from gandhi,,only then will israel be exposed..as for the UN,,does any country give a toss about their resolutions..it seems an unwinnable war on BOTH sides...violence hasnt worked..What will??

Boycotting Israeli dates is here nor there and will really only impact on Muslims living in Israel.

Far better would be to boycott high value Israeli products like IC chips, pharmaceutical, textile, plastics and engineering products. If you run a trading company make sure that none of your goods are transported by ZIM Lines. If you go to the doctor make sure that no TEVA products are prescribed. Do not use Skype ever! Do not take employment with companies that trade with Israel or share technology with Israeli companies.
Alternatively you could urge the Palestinian leadership to give up on violence and deploy peace marches - far more effective against the IDF.

A possible target for boycott is people who celebrate Ramadan and boycott made-in-Israel goods. This will make the point that boycotting is a two-edged weapon.

"..It's the least they can do is exactly the point" And that isn't good enough.

What about lobbying?

Whab about getting a delegation together to meet your MP?

What about joining and participating in a mainstream political party?

What about joining and working with the Unions - they're already doing more than most Muslim organisations?

What about supporting pro-Palestinian MPs and Policians eg fundraising, campaigning for them.

What about helping Red Ken get back in as Mayor- He's more pro-Palestinian than Boris?

What about donating to MPACUK?

Are you crazy? Peace marches more effective? Does a rabid wolf leave the lamb because it lays prostrate.

Ok i have just read RSD's other posts - he is a pro Israel fanatic pretending to be a rational human being. Sorry - you have been caught.

What a surprise he is trying to put in American products like intel chips into the boycott! clever boy - but just not clever enough.

This is pretty poor timing regards Saturday's, Global Day Against War demonstrations in London & Glasgow. Considering the StWC have adopted the End Siege on Gaza Campaign & an attack on Iran could happen at any between now & next US election - we need to make 15th Mar biggest demo since Feb 2003 - IMHO that is.
