MPACUK heard about this videocast from an upset member of the public. We listened to it, thinking it was going to be another attack by the organised pro Israel extremists, but surprisingly found that it was actually very interesting if angry comment by a seemingly genuine member of the British public.

The member of the public seemed angry at MPACUK at reacting badly over comments by Phil Woolas which hit headlines across Britain labelling Muslims as ‘Inbred. Despite the member of the public feeling rather angry at ‘The Muslim Public Affairs Committee’ and at times that boiling over into profanity, many of his points were reasoned out and we hope actually trying to help the community understand the problems with marrying within first cousins.

Here this non Muslim member of the public holds MPACUK to account, and we want to thank him for that.

A point to ponder for the Muslim community, imagine all Muslim groups, mosques, student Islamic societies were as accountable to the non Muslim public, how much Islamaphobia could be countered, as anger from the wider community, was honestly and sincerely listened to and acted upon or answered. We all know however that the pathetic Muslim leaders and the zombie’s that stand up for them will never allow themselves to be criticised by non Muslim or non Muslim alike.

A quick response to Chris J Moore, we were not upset that the issue had been highlighted; the issue is as you pointed out, important and needs to be addressed. In fact our Media interviews confirmed this, when we blamed Muslim Leadership both within our Mosques and student bodies for not doing a mass education program. We however felt that Phil Woolas had a track record of attacking the Muslim community and we were not surprised that his comments would lead to front page headlines that ended up labelling Muslims as ‘inbred’ which is the most racist type of language you would expect from the BNP not the Times. When one talks about a health issue, especially if they are a minister, it would be beyond the bounds of reason to ask them to use language that helps the situation and not language that will only make it worse, which was our simple message. However well done for demanding more from us, and if ever you want to take us to task again, contact us and we will put your videocast up on our site for others to comment on and listen too.

If only Muslim’s could learn a lesson from this non-Muslim and hold our leadership accountable for their failure’s instead of burying their head in the sand and hoping they improve by some miracle of inaction.

Chris makes some valid comments, the issue however is not necessarily the facts rather it is the language that is used. Phil Woolas pointing out a problem affecting a community is not the problem, calling Muslims 'inbreds' is.

very god points and very interesting that you put that up on the website.

in regards to being inbred. I am a Muslim and I am not an Inbred? I am a freak?

I guess the current spate of criticising anything connected with Islam will eventually abate. But the problem of language and presentation will remain. I caught the end of a television interview between a newscaster and on of those whose case was recently quashed. He was asked if he still supported 'jihad', and he declined to answer. As I now understand it, from this site, as a Muslim he could not say that he did not support jihad. However, what Islam defines as jihad, is not what the Oxford dictionary defines as jihad, and it is in the latter context that will be understood by non Muslims. Equally, the use of the word 'crusade' creates a divide. Its use in English would need to be quite specific and within context to mean a religious war. I am assuming that the same is true of 'jihad'.

MPAC linking even this to Israel is a sure sign of some kind of mental problem whether genetic or not.

I suppose if, at some future date, this were found to be a problem known to the Government, and a Government minister had NOT spoken out on it, we would then have been told it was part of a Zionist conspiracy to encourage genetic deformity amont Muslims.

The guy is obviously missing the point about how offensive and dangerous the constant barrage of rubbish chucked at the Muslim community is. And I doubt he is an ordinary or genuinely concerned member of the public - a man with an agenda if ever I heard one.

I can't think of many (muslim or non Muslim) orgs that would post a video complaining about themselves.
