Many Muslims may feel the same way we do but their perceptions will be influenced by the media and we all know what agenda certain elements of the media follow. When I was first leafleted by MPACUK I thought they might be extremists but seeing quotes from Hansard on the leaflet I felt there may be something more to this organisation. Just goes to show how the climate of fear pervades our minds. What do you think about this? If you have any comment to make on this or other topics mentioned, have your say, right here on Britain's Biggest Muslim Website. Readers have left 2 comments.

DHAKA, BANGLADESH Christian villagers,in a Muslim-majority area of Bangladesh on Tuesday, February 5, mourned the death of a 70-year-old woman who died from burns she suffered when a mob reportedly set her home ablaze as a punishment for converting from Islam to Christianity.(BosNewsLife)..non muslims and especially ex-muslims are treated very shabbily in most islamic countries..people in this country read about these things and make judgements, based on these events..muslims have every right to be angry, history shows us that they have been persecuted by the west, now it seems a minority of nuts(i wont call them muslims) in this country are doing a lot of damage to relations..i can see why people would be afraid to be tarred with the brush of extremeism..they should not however refrain from public discourse..MPAC need to reach out,,even though i sometimes dont agree with mpac ie..'Heat or Eat',,to these muslims and get them involved.change can come but we have to be together, muslim and non muslim together to affect change..could you please verify what changes muslims would like to see in this country,,without gettin into a debate about foreign policy..it is also to simplistic to merely blame the media for the apathy of young muslims.it is time for an adult debate without name calling and history lessons cos history is his story versus sum1 elses..2day an 2moro are more important than yesterday..thank you

On a more strategic level the drip drip effect of the Government and media labelling Muslims as extremists is having its desired effect. The creation of a climate of fear. Why do you think the same old tired report by Anthony Glees gets recycled EVERY September about extremists on campus. It is to scare Muslim students into not joining Muslim Orgs and getting organised. Scare 'em young.
