Saladin: Fanatics Training Camp Is Not A School!
Friday, 07 March 2008
yeshivat_mercaz_harav_170px.jpgThe school was no ordinary seminary. It was the ideological cradle of the settler movement in the West Bank, which could be the reason it was targeted. Many of its students are on special courses that combine religious study with service in combat units in the Israeli army. Well here are the facts from the "schools" website. "Mercaz HaRav... the Yeshiva’s graduates serve as Rabbis and Dayanim (Rabbinical Judges) in the cities and development towns, settlements and border villages of Israel. They serve faithfully and with devotion in the various corps of the Israeli Defense forces."

I Love My Hijab
Tuesday, 04 March 2008
hijab_170px.jpg Do you still remember the first time you put your hijab on and left your house to go about your daily life?  I’ve been wearing mine for three years now in May 2008, but remember putting it on and leaving for work like it was yesterday.  I had never been so excited in my life yet was feeling slightly apprehensive too. Back then, I was working in retail on the weekends to support myself whilst studying at university, of all places Romford.  People from East London or who are familiar with Romford probably understand why I say it like that, but will talk about it a little later.
